Plot: Vic decides to plead guilty and Melanie prepares his case. Emmett then talks Vic out of pleading guilty. Melanie gets some information on the arresting office and wins the case against Vic. Brian wins an award as 'Ad person of the Year' and decides to move to NY. At the same time, David decides to move to Portland to be closer to his son and Michael must decide what to do. Melanie gets Ted's boyfriend a job at her lawfirm. The whole gang get together to celebrate.
Xena's Comments: Another episode without Lindsay :(. I would have liked to see her in court or at least see Melanie discussing the case with her. Otherwise, this was a good episode. The second to last one of the season, you can really see how they were trying to wrap up some of the storylines.
Gabrielle's Comments: More Melanie magic. They really do a good job of letting her have some funny lines and good scenes. Once again she has a hilarious give and take with Ted. This episode makes us ask the question "At what point will we stand up for ourselves and our name?" Most of the episode is about Vic's fight to clear his name which means, you guessed it, great Mel lawyer scenes. Thea finally gets a meaty scene after a few window dressing appearances in previous episodes. Brian has decided he wants to kick it up a notch and try his luck in New York City on Madison Avenue. Everyone is upset he may be leaving and Lindsay has a stirring talk with him in his loft. The good news is that Dr. Dave (the homophobic actor Chris Potter...if you want to wash your mouth out after a scene in which you kiss a man, WHY THE HELL DID YOU ACCEPT THE ROLE????) is moving back to Portland. Will Michael go with him? Mel has stepped up to the plate for her buddy Ted and helped Blake get a temp job at her law firm. Of course Mr. Crystal Meth blows it and Mel delivers the bad news to Ted. When will Ted ever learn? Cute kissing between our ladies at Vic's victory party. Oh by the way, Brian gets turned down in NYC.
