Plot: Lindsay & Melanie attend the funeral of Brian's father. Daphne ask Justin to be her first time and then acts like they are a couple. Justin helps Melanie & Lindsay carry a new mattress up the stairs while telling them about Daphne. They explain to him how women look at sex differently then men.
Xena's Comments: This is another episode where Melanie & Lindsay aren't in it too much. The few scenes they were in were interesting. I liked how they explain to Justin why Daphne is having trouble dealing with their relationship now. Lindsay acts very motherly to Justin, which seemed very natural. Melanie looked great when she was trying to carry the new bed up the stairs. I loved the looks that Melanie & Lindsay give each other. So darn cute!
Gabrielle's Comments: Brian's father has died and everyone goes to the funeral to support Brian. Clearly it is awkward to be around Brian's family. You learn a lot about why Brian is the way he is and can see on some level why Lindsay is so sympathetic towards him. While no one can think of anything nice to say about the late Mr. Kinney, at least Lindsay tries. The ladies also have another small scene (do you notice that many of my QAF Season 1 episode reviews use the word small when describing the scenes or story lines with Lindsay and Melanie?) with Justin. Justin and Daphne have given each other their "heterosexual virginity" (I made that up, do you like it?) and Justin does not understand why that has affected Daphne in such an emotional way. Leave it to the boys to miss the emotional importance of physical intimacy for a woman. Fortunately for Justin, Lindz and Mel give him some appropriate insight.
