Plot: Michael & David return from their trip to Paris and share the home movies with the rest of the group. Melanie tries to talk to Lindsay about her decision to marry Guillaume, only to learn they have already set a date. Lindsay calls Melanie when Gus is being really fussy and Melanie sings to him, which calms him down. Brian decides it's time to intervene and comes up with a way to get Melanie and Lindsay back together. He agrees to sign over his parental rights if the two of them get back together.
Xena's Comments: I can't believe that Guillaume was only in two episodes. It seemed like half the season. I was so glad to see him gone. He was way to pushy. I thought the scene when Lindsay calls Melanie to comfort Gus was beautiful. And I really liked Melanie's singing. It was a real tender moment. At the end, Brian is the one who get's Melanie & Lindsay back together by offering to turn over his parental rights (which he should have done a long time ago). I wasn't sure how to feel when it ends up being Brian who gets the two of them back together, but I guess that makes sense in the world of QAF.
Gabrielle's Comments: Xena was so ready to deport Guillaume it is not funny!! He just annoyed her. I wanted him gone as well, but more because I was ready for Mel and Lindz to finally deal with what had happened in Episode 113. I liked the scene where Lindsay looks at herself in the mirror while she is trying on her wedding dress. I think many girls grow up dreaming of the day they will make a commitment to that one special person in their life. In the end, Brian drags Lindsay and Melanie together and unites them by handing over his parental rights to Melanie. While many of us may want to puke over the fact that Brian needs to "come to the rescue" of our favorite ladies, at least we won't be stuck with Frenchy anymore:) Most importantly, Gus now can legally be raised by his two INTENDED parents.
