Xena & Gabrielle's Comments on Episode 115

Plot: Lindsay leaves Gus with Brian for the weekend when she has to go out of town. Brian leaves Gus with Justin so he can attend the Leather Ball. Melanie comes over and screams at Brian for not taking any responsibility and Brian reminds Melanie that she has no rights to Gus and is nothing to him. Brian's father tells Brian that he is dying and Brian in turn tells his father that he is gay and introduces Gus to him.

Xena's Comments: Neither Melanie or Lindsay are in this one much, but both are memorable when they were. Michelle Clunie did a great job in the scene where Melanie and Brian argue over Gus. Thea Gill is wonderful in her scenes, especially the worry she shows when Lindsay is leaving Gus with Brian for the weekend.

Gabrielle's Comments: Another small Lindsay appearance. Lindsay needs to go back to work due to her new financial situation and immediately she is sent off to a conference. Another step in my growing conspiracy theory to give Thea Gill less screen time. Fortunately, we get to see Lindsay drop Gus off with Brian. While this is going on, Brian's father stops by to announce that he has cancer. Once again, when given an opportunity, Thea is great in this pivotal scene. Most of the episode revolves around the fact that while Brian loves Gus and is struggling with his own relationship with his father, he still can not put aside his needs for others. There is also another great scene by Michelle Clunie where she storms into Brian's apartment looking for Gus. It is another reminder not to get on Mel's bad side...
