Episode 110
Xena & Gabrielle's Comments on Episode 110

Plot: Lindsay doesn't want to go back to work just yet so she can stay home with Gus. Melanie isn't comfortable with the idea at first. Justin forgets to set the alarm at Brian's loft and Brian gets robbed. He throws Justin out. While Brian is making a list of what he lost, Lindsay writes Justin's name in big letters. Melanie meets with Ted to see just how she can find the money to let Lindsay stay home. Michael and David are supposed to go to dinner at Melanie & Lindsay's. Michael cancels and David goes alone.

Xena's Comments: This was an interesting episode. I loved the scene when everyone is having brunch. The camera edits made for an interesting way to tell a number of stories at once. The scene where David comes over to dinner and Melanie & Lindsay finish each other's sentences and show what being together for six years can be like was sweet. Even though Melanie is worried about money if Lindsay stay's home with Gus, she finds a way for Lindsay to stay home. That showed so much love for Lindsay and how she will do just about anything to make her happy. The card she places on Lindsay's pillow is so nice. There is tension in the air though. I felt that Lindsay wasn't giving Melanie enough credit for all Mel is willing to do. I guess you see the foreshadowing for episodes to come.

Gabrielle's Comments: Lindsay wants to stay home and be a full-time mother to Gus, but that will be a financial stretch for the Peterson-Marcus family. Mel goes over her finances with Ted to see if there is a way to make this happen. It was incredibly sweet for Mel to do this, however, you can sense she is not comfortable with the situation. There is a great scene where Mel leaves a card on Lindsay's pillow letting her know that she loves her and has found a way financially to allow Lindsay to stay at home with Gus. Lindsay looks fantastic in her red lingerie and Mel…need I say more? This show begins the arc that leads us to THE EPISODE - 113. We begin to see some tension between our favorite twosome and Brian bagging out on his promise to give Mel his parental rights does not help matters. My take on the situation is that Lindsay is suffering from Postpartum depression and Mel is just SUPER PISSED that Brian is in her family's life and F****** it up.
