We are working hard to update this site on a regular basis with news and information that is important to the lesbian community in the DC Metro Area. We are posting this update page so that you have an easy way to find out what is new and don't have to wander around looking for updated information.

May 31, 2002 - Sorry for the lack of updates this week. Life got in the way for both of us :). Updated the Metro Events sections. Another Update for today: Added the June TV Calendar. Updated the FAQ with three new questions. Also updated the "Queer As Folk" section. Finally, to help this page load faster, we broke up the What's New section again.

May 28, 2002 - Updated the "Queer As Folk" section.

May 27, 2002 - Updated the new Metro Events Pride page. Also updated the "Queer As Folk" section.

May 25, 2002 - Updated the new Metro Events Pride page in addition to the Metro Events/DC, & VA sections. To save space on this page, we will no longer be listing the exact updates to the Melanie & Lindsay QAF section on this page. We will just note when there has been an update to that section.

May 24, 2002 - Updated the new Metro Events Pride page. Added the date, June 15th for Gay Day At Six Flags to the Metro Events/MD section (more info on it coming soon). Also updated the "Queer As Folk" section with two new Videos of Thea Gill's scenes in the Showtime movie "Common Ground" and Sounds from episode 104.

May 23, 2002 - Added a new Metro Events Pride page which list all of the events from now until June 9th in the DC Area. If you know of an event that isn't listed, please let us know.

May 22, 2002 - Today is a busy day for all you Melanie & Lindsay fans. Added two new videos of Michelle Clunie on last night's "Judging Amy" to the Queer As Folk - Video section. Another Update for Today: Added the Virtual Postcards of Melanie & Lindsay to the Fun Stuff section. Also added Gabrielle's Review of the "Queer As Folk" Season Two Soundtrack.

May 21, 2002 - Added a new Fun Stuff section. Right now, we have Virtual Postcards as part of it. We moved the Bars section to the Resources area. We also added a new question to the FAQ.

May 20, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events/DC and MD and Latest News sections. We have also started adding the scores to the most recent Mystics Game.

May 19, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events/DC and VA and Music sections.

May 17, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events/DC section. Also added images from "Queer As Folk", episode 111.

May 16, 2002 - Added a new section titled Help Arena. Xena created some Internet Tips and we felt that it was best to have a general help section. The Can You Help? area has been moved to the Help Arena. We also updated the TV section with some new programs coming up soon. Added a few new listings to the TV Calendar. Finally, updated the Metro Events/DC section with some new listings.

May 15, 2002 - Updated the Resources/Plublications section. Also updated the Movies and Metro Events/VA sections.

May 14, 2002 - Did some more updates to the Resources sections. Also updated the "Queer As Folk" section with a new video of Michelle Clunie on "ER" and instructions on converting .mp3's to .wav's.

May 13, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events/DC, Metro/MD and Metro/VA sections. Also added some new links to the Resources/Support section.

May 12, 2002 - Updated the Bars section with some new info thanks to a few visitors to this site. Updated the Metro Events/DC section and added a new link to the Resources/Support section for Mothertongue.org. There was a great line in tonight's"Queer As Folk" that we added to the QAF Sounds section.

May 10, 2002 - Deleted some old Metro Events. Also added some new images from the Season 2 Promo of "Queer As Folk".

May 7, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events DC, MD & VA pages. Also added some news on a Mystics Party to the Mystics section.

May 6, 2002 - Major update today. DCDykes.com celebrates it's first birthday on June 9th. We decided to redesign the site and figured there was no reason to wait until the "big day" to upload it. We hope you will find the new design easy to use and helpful while you make your way around the site. So, take a look around and if you find any broken links or have an opinion about the new design, please feel free to use the Online Contact Form and let us know.

We also added some new images to the Queer As Folk section. The Bonus DVD that comes with the set had some interesting pictures and we wanted to post them here. Hope you enjoy them.

May 2, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events/DC page with a couple of new things in May. Added images from Queer As Folk episode 110. We also finally got a chance to write up our comments on each episode. You can find those on the individual screen capture pages. Added the TV icon to all films listed in our Movies section which will appear on TV or cable this month.

May 1, 2002 - Finally got a chance to update the TV Calendar for May. Also moved, and updated, the Metro Events pages around so that it is easier (we hope) for you to find events in your area.

April 30, 2002 - Okay, got a chance to update the Metro Events, Music and Resources/Legal sections. Also added a new page that Gabrielle wrote up on her memories of the 70's show "Electra Woman & Dyna Girl". We also moved some images to new folders. If you are viewing a page and the graphics don't show up, refresh the page and it should be fine. The new TV schedule for May will be up later tonight or tomorrow morning.

April 28, 2002 - After being away for most of the weekend, we just deleted some old Metro Events today. Will have new events by tomorrow.

April 25, 2002 - Real quick update. Added a video of Michelle Clunie & Thea Gill on "Larry King Live" to the Videos section. Also created a Melanie & Lindsay Links page. Check back later for more updates. - We are going to be away again this weekend so we wanted to post a few more things before we left. Added new Sounds and Images to the QAF section. Also updated the Metro Events section.

April 23, 2002 - Deleted some old Metro Events. Added two new Movie reviews. Also Gabrielle has posted her thoughts on the Mystics 2002 Draft.

April 19, 2002 - We finally added a Site Map. This should make it easy to find exactly the page you are looking for. Updated the Bars section in time for the weekend :). And since we are going to be away for the weekend, we figured we would add another episode of images (episode 108) to the Queer As Folk section.

April 18, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events & Resources - Misc section.

April 17, 2002 - Updated the Metro Events, Music & Local Sports sections. Added a new video of Thea Gill to the Queer As Folk section.

April 15, 2002 - Since the Resources section had become so large, we have divided it up into separate pages. This should make it easier for you to find the resource you are looking. Updated the TV Schedule with some new things airing towards the end of April. Also added a note about "The Truth About Jane" being released on VHS & DVD last week to the Movie section.

April 14, 2002 - Added news about the Season 2 Queer As Folk Soundtrack to the QAF section. It will be released on May 7th. Updated the Resources section. Also added Gabrielle's review of "Kissing Jessica Stein".

April 13, 2002 - Added images from a deleted scene from episodes 101 & 102 of "Queer As Folk". Also added some Sound Files from Episode 101 & 102. Added news about a Washington Mystics 2002 Draft Party at ESPN Zone to the Mystics section. Also added deleted some Metro Events.

April 12, 2002 - Added images from episode 107 of "Queer As Folk". Also deleted some old Metro Events.

April 11, 2002 - Added the story about Darrell D. Rice being charged with the murder of Julianne M. Williams and Laura S. Winans in 1994 to the In The News section. Also, added a link to the press conference relating to this story given at the Dept. of Justice.

April 9, 2002 - Just deleted some old Metro Events.

April 6, 2002 - Added a bunch of new events to the Metro Events section, including news about Melissa Etheridge and Ellen DeGeneres coming to the DC area. Also added a number of new Resources.

April 5, 2002 - Added images from episode 106 of "Queer As Folk". Also posted news that ABC's Nightline has postponed it's five part series titled "A Matter of Choice?" due to events in the Middle East.

April 4, 2002 - Had a number of updates today. First, updated the In The News section with a new story from the Maryland area. Also added some new events to the Metro Events page (all in the DC area). Finally, added news about Marianne Stanley being named as the new coach of the Mystics to the Mystics News section.

April 1, 2002 - Gabrielle wrote up two new stories for the Hot Topics section. Also added a few new items to the Resources section.

March 31, 2002 - Added images from episode 105 of "Queer As Folk". Also created some new Winamp Skins from season 2 of "Queer As Folk", including one with the wedding photo of Melanie & Lindsay. Updated the Resources section with some new links. Also updated the Metro Events section and posted the April TV Schedule.

March 25, 2002 - Added the new 2002 schedules for the Washington Mystics, DC Diva's, Baltimore Burn, and Washington Freedom. Also created a new Local Sports section. Also added information about some performers coming to the DC area in April to the Entertainment section. Finally, added some new Metro Events.

March 21, 2002 - Added some new reviews to the Movie section. Gabrielle wrote up her thoughts on an all gay cable network, titled "I Want My Gay TV". Added images from episode 104 of "Queer As Folk". Also added a new link to the Resource/Travel section.

March 15, 2002 - Just added some new images to the "Queer As Folk" section.

March 13, 2002 - Finally changed the navigation for this site. We never did like those buttons we had. Also added some new things. Added "The Matthew Shepard Story" information to the TV section. Updated the Metro Events section. Added news about Judy Gold, Suzanne Westenhoefer and Paula Poundstone coming to the DC area to the Metro Events page and the home page. Added 50 screen captures and two more videos from "Queer As Folk" and changed the "QAF" section a bit.

March 11, 2002 - Just added a few new events to the home page.

March 3, 2002 - Before taking a trip, we updated the TV Listings section. Also added a new "Queer As Folk" Multimedia section with video interviews and WinAmp Skins. Added some new information to the Movies section, including news on the new movie "Kissing Jessica Stein".

Jan. 30, 2002 - Updated the Movies section again with even more listings. Added a new Contact Us section where you can send us an e-mail right from this site. Also updated the TV Listings section with more programs and movies airing in the month of February.

Jan. 27, 2002 - Updated the Resources section with a few new shopping & legal sites. Also updated the Movies section with some new listings. We have also added links to some of the films we review. Finally, we updated the TV Listings section for the month of February.

Jan. 19, 2002 - Updated the TV Listings and Resources sections.

Jan. 11, 2002 - Again, we are sorry for the long delay in updating this website. We have a lot of idea's for the new year and will be updating this site regularly as we complete new sections. Until then, we have updated the TV Listings sections for the month of January. We have also added a few items to the Entertainment section. Gabrielle wrote up her thoughts on the current "ER" story line with Kerry Weaver. We have added a few images from "Cruel Intentions". Keep watching that section. We are going to be adding images from just about every movie we review on this site. Finally we updated the Mystics section with some news.
