Electra Woman and Dyna GirlElectra Woman and Dyna Girl celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2001. Created in 1976, 8 episodes of ElectraWoman and DynaGirl were made to be shown as part of The Kroft Supershow. Electra Woman and Dyna Girl aired between September 9, 1976 and September 2, 1978. It starred Deidre Hall as Lori / Electra Woman, Judy Strangis as Judy / Dyna Girl, and Norman Alden as Frank Heflin. For this little dyke, I was mesmerized when this aired on Saturday mornings. I remember hoping and praying to hear that hip 70's EW-DG theme song and being truly excited when I heard it.

The Electra Woman and Dyna Girl Theme Song

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl
Fighting all evil deeds.
Each writes for a magazine
Hiding the life she leads.

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl!

Summoned to Electra-Base
By the Electracoms they wear
Lori and Judy dare to face
Any Criminal anywhere.

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl!

You can download the theme song, in addition to many other sound clips from Electra Woman and Dyna Girl at the official Deidre Hall website. Click on Audio Galleries and then electrawoman.

The Electra ComsThe show was campy, short, and starred two very attractive women in colorful tights! What more could a girl want? Maybe I was drawn to the Electra Coms. WOW, what technological advances those Electra Coms were Smile Face Winking. So soft and delicate... Goodness, you could have microwaved an entire turkey on it. Are those Electra Coms my root fascination with technology? More than likely they have caused me to be fearful of big jewelry. I also loved when EW-DG zoomed around in their car with three wheels that looked like a saucer. I was always concerned they would take a turn too fast and tip over.

Electra Woman & Dyna GirlI loved this show and was pleasantly surprised to see that others still have fond memories of our duo willing to face any criminal anywhere. Below are links to web sites dedicated to our gals. The good news is that you can also purchase episodes of this show from Amazon.com for $9.95. While the show clearly is not lesbian in nature, it sure was nice to see chicks kicking butt and looking good back in the 1970s.
