  • Curve - A magazine for lesbians that covers entertainment, relationships and more.

  • Girlfriends Magazine - focuses on lesbian culture, politics, and entertainment. A good casual read.

  • Lesbian Connection- Published every two months, this is a great resource for lesbians in all areas of the country. Everything from news articles, and personal stories, to comics and travel tips. They are not online, but you can reach them by e-mail at elsiepub@aol.com.

  • Lesbian Nation - A great online source for news and entertainment reports. Worth putting in your favorites list.

  • Lesbian News Online - Even with a major focus on the Los Angeles area, this is a great source for news of concern to the lesbian community.

  • On Our Backs - An erotic magazine for lesbians by lesbians. Be forewarned that this magazine can be blunt and graphic in its depiction of lesbian sex and does not shy away from S&M material.

  • Planet Out - This is more entertainment focused then publications such as the Advocate, but it's a great source for information. Now includes travel planning and even US Airways ticket ordering online at travel.planetout.com.

  • Velevetpark - "Velvetpark is a thought-provoking, outrageous, sexy and trail-blazing magazine for urban lesbians, feminists and the gay men who adore them. VP presents the issues, events and LGTB people that define our times."

  • Washington Blade - A great source for information concerning the entire community. This is also available at many local bookstores in the entire Metro area.

  • Woman's Monthly (WOMO) - WOMO, the Washington DC Metropolitan area's magazine for lesbians. They are currently in their 10th year of publication. The print publication's companion website has been online for three years. They are a general interest publication, committed to: building a sense of community among women through calendar listings; providing a place for emerging writers to showcase their literary works; reporting on womens' events and groups; and showcasing women and women-owned businesses.
