organizations, etc. which we feel could be helpful to lesbians living
or working in the Washington DC Metro Area. This list is not complete
at all. We will be adding much more as we learn about other organizations.

- GayHealth.com
- The first health and wellness site dedicated to the LGBT community.
Staffed by professionals from within the community, the site provides
easy access to accurate, current and vital health information.
- The
Mautner Project - Founded in 1990, this is the only national
organization dedicated to lesbians with cancer, their partners
and caregivers.
- Lesbian
Health Center - offers high quality affordable primary gynecological
services with special sensitivity to lesbians, bisexual women,
and transgender people. 1-3 PM On a sliding scale basis. By appointment
only. For information call 202-745-6131.
- Senior
Health Resources (SHR) - is a nonprofit organization with
the mission of providing health-related services to our aging
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community in the
Washington DC metropolitan area, their family and friends.
- Whitman-Walker
Clinic Lesbian Service Program - For over 10 years, they
have been providing health services to the lesbian community,
including gynecological care, mental health services, support
groups and workshops.
