Personal Apology to Coco Miller

Well let's just say that when I am wrong I want to be the first to admit it. In an earlier article I wrote regarding the upcoming Washington Mystics 2002 WNBA season, I stated that it was "time for Coco to gogo." Clearly convinced that we had drafted the "wrong twin" (having lost all faith in the previous leadership of Melissa McFerrin), I felt it was time to clear a roster space for someone else. Let me shout from cyberspace - I WAS WRONG!!!!!!

Coco Miller may be the hardest working woman on the Mystics team this season. Her intensity on the court is palpable. There is not one element of the game that she is not executing between defense, rebounding, scoring, and all of the little things that can be asked of a player. Coco's hustle is one of the many things that I believe Coach Stanley has unleashed. Last season Coco looked down trodden and lost. This year Coco looks confident and at ease with her game. While we will never know the true psychological and chemistry damage Tom Maher did to the team last year, at least we know that Coco will be able to overcome any long term ramifications of that experience.

Thank you Coco for all of your tremendous effort this year! Again, let me apologize for being too quick to write you off. Go Mystics!!!!!!!!!!!!!
