Xena ImageMelissa Etheridge "Live...And Alone" Concert Review
by Xena

Melissa Etheridge "Live...and Alone" TourOn August 6, 2001, the whole family went to see Melissa Etheridge kick off her new concert tour "Live...and alone". I admit that I really didn't know what to expect and wasn't exactly looking that forward to this concert. I've seen Melissa live five times before and each time was like a religious experience. She always puts on an amazing show. The problem with the "Live...and Alone" tour was that there is no band. I wasn't sure how Melissa can rock without a set of drums on stage.

I WAS WRONG!!! This was am amazing concert. Probably one of the most amazing I've ever seen. It was 2 1/2 hours of nonstop music. Melissa sang at least 23 songs. I don't even know how to put it into words. I was just amazed. This woman proved that she can rock. She doesn't need a band on stage with her for her to rock. Why did I think she needed one? The woman plays a 12-string like it was nothing. She plays piano, harmonica, bass and on and on.

Here is the a playlist of the 24 songs we remember

  1. Bring Me Some Water
  2. Occasionally
  3. Chrome Plated Heart
  4. No Souvenirs
  5. Like The Way I Do
  6. You Can Sleep While I Drive
  7. The Letting Go
  8. Must Be Crazy For Me
  9. Ain't It Heavy
  10. All American Girl
  11. Yes I Am
  12. I'm The Only One
  13. Come To My Window
  14. I Want To Come Over
  15. Nowhere To Go
  16. Scarecrow
  17. How Would I Know
  18. Heal Me
  19. It's Only Me
  20. The Prison
  21. Lover Please
  22. I Want To Be In Love
  23. Please Forgive Me
  24. Down To One

Overall, it was just an amazing show. Melissa is someone worth seeing live. There is something about her that is just amazing.
