Tongue - For over two-years, mothertongue has
encouraged women in the Washington, DC area to share their
voices through monthly open mic and spoken word events.
These performances have become a staple in the DC arts and
women's communities, providing much needed social and artistic
space for women writers/performers and the people who support

One
In Ten - Founded in 1991, One in Ten is a non-profit
group that focuses on Pride in the Arts. The group presents
pioneering works by artists, provides technical assistance
to cultural organizations, builds market structures to produce
and distribute gay and lesbian works, supports individual
artists or projects, and prepares an archival record of our
community's accomplishments and strivings. All are welcome
to join the group or participate in their sponsored events. |
